Promptair Pty Ltd was formed in 1998 by Peter Thornton and Michael
Barnes: each a respected member of the South Australian air conditioning
industry.
These two founders brought to the company over 35 years experience
in servicing, installation and maintaining air conditioning and
refrigeration systems.
Since inception, Promptair has grown consistently, based on uncompromising
principles of dedicated customer service and quality workmanship.
Promptair had originally been formed with the vision to provide
excellence in the servicing and maintenance requirements associated
with customers installed air conditioning plant and equipment.
Numerous, small air conditioning installations were also performed
for customers by the service department in the early years of operation.
As the company continued to experience growth, the two company directors
made a decision to deliver the same excellence in servicing and
maintenance of refrigeration plant and equipment, which still continues
to this day by our experienced service department personnel.
The continued growth phase has now afforded the company with an
opportunity to establish a separate installation / contracts division,
capable and with the proven ability of managing large commercial
projects.
In 2002, the directors of Promptair made an informed decision to
expand their operations and become a sub-contractor in their own
right.
The installation/contracts department was developed with one of
the directors, Michael Barnes becoming responsible as Project Manager,
including the management and overseeing of the departments operations.
In 2002 Promptair Pty Ltd became a registered full member of the
AMCA –
(Air conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association).
AMCA members represent Australia’s leading air conditioning
and mechanical services companies.
Promptair is represented & currently holds a position on the
board of the AMCA-SA executive committee.
Today, with a staff of thirty eight and a modern fleet of service
vehicles, Promptair has the flexibility to perform all types of
air conditioning and refrigeration projects, from the small to very
large.
In 2003, Promptair Pty Ltd relocated to new premises at Allenby
Gardens, with more extensive office and workshop facilities.
This centralised location places us within easy reach of most of
Adelaide, assisting us to live up to our name: Promptair. |
